“Everything significant starts with relationship.”― John Townsend
“We’re all people, people” – Mallory Oxendine
When wounding or pain has occurred within relationships it almost always requires healing and care within relationship. We are not made to go alone or self-heal. Healing occurs in moments, spaces, and connections that offer a different outcome.
Mallory works to create and provide a connecting environment for clients to heal, grow and develop. This space is first created within the provider relationship and then encouraged and practiced within relationships outside of the professional context. Through care, curiosity, acceptance, and skills; Mallory works to create a space where clients can expect to be engaged, invited, and challenged into individual flourishing and courageous acts of self-development and relational growth.
As a Certified Sex Therapist, Mallory utilizes a whole person approach for individuals and relational system. As a trained EMDR therapist, she treats individuals while creating systemic change within the individual and their relational systems..
For individual services, Mallory primarily utilizes EMDR as her therapeutic technique. This therapy modality is effective and efficient in treating many different concerns including but not limited to trauma, anxiety, depression, physical pain, and individual sexual challenges.
Mallory’s work with couples and relationships primarily works within the concerns of sex and intimacy using the DEC-R model and research informed protocols for sexual challenges.
Whether treating an individual or a couple, Mallory’s area of focus include: intimacy issues, healthy sexuality, women’s health issues, the perinatal and postpartum years, betrayal recovery, desire discrepancy, sexual pain and dysfunctions, infertility, relationships, boundaries, healing from trauma and abuse, and healthy family relationships and systems.
Through both personal and professional experiences, Mallory also enjoys working with fostering and adoptive parents; honoring and holding the complex grief that is a part of that dynamic.
As a coach, Mallory desires to connect and challenge her clients to reach to the next level of their life. Mallory offers coaching to individuals and couples, specializing in leadership, relationships, and sexual wellness. The process drives clients towards growth and connection with themselves and to those around them to know and be known at a deeper level. She offers one-on-one, or two-with-one coaching services.
Mallory is also a provider for IASIS Micro-current Neurofeedback (MCN). This is a beautiful addition in whole-person healing to help regulate the nervous system and create optimal functioning for the client. IASIS MCN is a natural, safe, non-invasive treatment option that helps to decrease negative physical and somatic symptoms. Read more about IASIS MCN here: https://www.aspenhausassociates.com/iasis-mcn.
Mallory was born in North Texas and then spent most of her life throughout the Southeast. She now lives in the greater Dallas area with her husband, children, and mini-Aussie. Mallory is a life-long learner and is passionate about sharing her love of learning with others and currently teaches part-time as an online adjunct professor at Truett-McConnell University, her alma mater. For fun, Mallory enjoys walks, movies, traveling, and pickleball. Mallory regularly and consistently engages in her own growth process and healing with therapy, coaching, and professional development.
