Striving to be excellent at all the things has become a lot to carry on your own. With all the "great things" going on in your life, it has become really difficult to admit how overwhelming it can be in your head. You are trying your best at work but feel as though you are falling behind. It can be difficult to express your real feelings with your loved ones or even difficult to understand them. You don’t want to burden your family and friends with your problems. It is so much! Almost too much. If this resonates and you identify. If you just want to make sense of it and turn down some of the noise in your head and maybe find a way to not feel so heavy all the time, then meet Rebecca.
As a marriage/family therapist associate, Rebecca will help you gain insight into yourself through your relationships to help you create honest, open, vulnerable, and transparent spaces. You will explore the reasons behind why it has been difficult for you to create healthy boundaries, emotional vulnerability & true intimacy and connection in the relationships that matter most to you.
Rebecca utilizes an attachment-relational based approach to counseling with clients. She practices from an Emotional Developmental approach as well as working from Bowenian and systemic models. Her counseling interests include working with individuals and couples addressing anxiety, trauma, relational difficulties and issues stemming from family of origin and childhood.
Rebecca is also passionate about working with African American men, women and couples facing difficulties related to intergenerational trauma and pain, anxiety, self-esteem, perfectionism as well as emotional regulation and communication issues in marriages and committed relationships. Rebecca enjoys working with clients who are committed and motivated to learn new healthy ways of healing and growing.
Rebecca hails from Waco, Texas and has spent her latter years in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex. Rebecca Faggett is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (203616) under the direct clinical supervision of Kimberly Gist Miller, Board Approved Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor (Texas: LMFT 203022).
